PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING NOTES:
The cost for these seminars will remain $12 per session. We will meet approximately 34 times. I should be able to post next year’s schedule with the final book list in May.

The fees for registration are $24. These fees must accompany the registration form. Please make checks to Jeff Minick. This amount will cover the first two meetings of the fall semester.

Payment for the fall seminars is due before classes begin. You’ll receive an email about that in the early summer. Payments may be made by the semester or by the year.

Parents who have not yet paid this semester’s fees: Without prior arrangement, I cannot accept your registration or promise a place in class until the fees for the spring of 2010 are paid.

The registration form will be available in the classroom and online at ashevillelatinseminars.blogspot.com. Registration may be submitted beginning on Monday, February 15th. On February 25th, the registration will be opened to students not currently enrolled in my seminars.

Please note well: each class will not exceed eighteen students (Latin II may be the single exception, depending on registration). I have put into place a system to help ensure that seminars will remain at that number.

Students who have not taken my seminars must take an essay test before enrolling in any Advanced Placement course.

Please note as well that the 3Rs classes are now divided by age. The chief difference between the two classes is the reading list. The concern here, by the way, is not with a student’s reading level in terms of ability, but more in the suitability of certain material. Material suitable for a fifteen year old may be inappropriate for an eleven year old, and vice versa.

Please note: Mr. James Foust will be offering a variety of math courses and SAT preparation for homeschoolers this fall. For more information, you may go to his website www.convenienttutor.com. You may also email him at jfoust@convenienttutor.com or call him at 828-779-0562.

See below for the reading lists for the fall.
