Greetings, students!

I'm looking forward to working together this year. I hope that we approach our work with passion, discipline, and vision. Approach your work passionately. Use discipline to gain mastery over that which you don't understand or which you must memorize. Try to see ahead of time what you want from these classes and then pursue those goals.

Courage is one of the four classical virtues. It is an acquired virtue, which means we must practice it habitually to make it our own. Approach all that you do this year with a little courage, and you will likely be surprised by the results.

The measure of your life will be the measure of your courage.
